Tim Phillips has been practicing in the areas of civil rights litigation and criminal defense for 15 years. He has handled more than 20 trials. After passing the California bar exam in 2008, he returned home to the Twin Cities in 2012. He is licensed to practice law in both Minnesota and California. 

Tim grew up in St. Louis Park and attended the University of Minnesota Morris. He started law school at William Mitchell in St. Paul, and transferred to the University of California Hastings in San Francisco. His concentration at Hastings was public interest law.
